Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment designed to improve skin texture, tone, and clarity by gently exfoliating the outer layers of the skin. By removing damaged surface cells, chemical peels help reveal smoother, brighter, and healthier-looking skin underneath.

Chemical Peels for Smoother, Brighter, More Even-Toned Skin

Chemical peels are a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment designed to improve skin texture, tone, and clarity by gently exfoliating the outer layers of the skin. By removing damaged surface cells, chemical peels help reveal smoother, brighter, and healthier-looking skin underneath.

Using medical-grade exfoliating solutions, chemical peels stimulate cell turnover and collagen production, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines, acne, discoloration, sun damage, and uneven skin tone—without surgery or extensive downtime.

Chemical peels can be customized to address a wide range of skin concerns, including acne, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, melasma, dull skin, fine lines, and rough texture. The strength and formulation of the peel are carefully selected based on your skin type, goals, and tolerance.

Many clients notice visible improvement after just one treatment, though a series of peels may be recommended for optimal, long-lasting results.

What to Expect

Before Your Procedure — Pre-Treatment Instructions

To ensure safe treatment and the best possible results, please follow these guidelines before your chemical peel appointment:

  1. Avoid retinoids, Retin-A®, Differin®, Arazlo®, exfoliants, and alpha/beta hydroxy acids for 7–10 days prior to treatment, unless otherwise directed.
  2. Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 2 weeks before your appointment.
  3. Avoid waxing, laser treatments, microneedling, or other exfoliating procedures in the treatment area for at least 2 weeks prior.
  4. Inform your provider of any active skin infections, cold sores, open wounds, or inflammatory skin conditions.
  5. Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, lotions, oils, or sunscreen on the day of treatment.

During Your Procedure

During your visit, one of our experienced medical professionals will evaluate your skin concerns, review your medical history, and determine the most appropriate chemical peel for your skin type and goals.

The skin will be cleansed, and the chemical solution will be carefully applied to the treatment area. You may experience a mild tingling, warmth, or stinging sensation during application, which typically subsides within minutes.

Treatment sessions usually last 20–30 minutes, depending on the type of peel and treatment area. Once the peel is complete, post-treatment products may be applied to soothe and protect the skin.

After Your Procedure — Post-Treatment Instructions

After a chemical peel, the skin may appear red, feel tight, dry, or begin peeling. These effects are normal and typically resolve over several days to two weeks, depending on the depth of the peel.

As the skin heals, treated areas will gradually appear smoother, brighter, and more even in tone as new, healthy skin cells emerge.

To support healing and maximize results, please follow these post-treatment guidelines:

  1. Gently cleanse the skin and apply a mild moisturizer as directed to prevent excessive dryness.
  2. Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, acids, scrubs, and cleansing devices for 5–7 days post-treatment.
  3. Do not pick, scrub, or peel flaking skin, as this may cause irritation or pigmentation changes.
  4. Avoid direct sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily, reapplying as needed.
  5. Avoid heat exposure such as hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, swimming, and strenuous exercise for at least 7 days.
  6. Avoid laser treatments, waxing, or other resurfacing procedures for at least 3 weeks, unless otherwise directed.

With proper care and a customized treatment plan, clients often experience smoother texture, improved tone, clearer skin, and a refreshed complexion—helping restore confidence with minimal downtime.
